To say they both suck ass, what does that mean. You don't like they way they were blended or you don't like the new chutney songs coming out today?.

I definitely do not like the new chutney songs that are being released today. The remakes of those Indian songs just ruins the originals for me.

i think the way "Catch Meh Lova" waz put together waz excellent...and "Chutney In D' Backyard" makes good compilations...and they compiled this CD excellently...so i honestly dont know which one iz better up to now...but selling wise i know "Catch Meh Lova" iz gonna do good on the market!!!...

and yeah i agree that the new chutney songs bein done wid them singin back an indian song with a regga song iz dumb...but every year its a trend and its acquired taste...and honestly...some of them are really good and some of them are useless...but majority are good...every year we have songz like these...and after a while we start realizing that "wow ppl like this so maybe i should play it more"

Honestly I agree wid u and down da road I might find a couple of these songs nice, but it's a joke that how these chutney artists can't find their own shit to do. This is where I give guys like Ravi B, Hitman, & ESPECIALLY RAKESH YANKARAN their credit becuz they don't need to resing an indian song to get to where they are today.

Ok so they probly have but they don't take da lyrics straight from da original song n put in some ridiculous tassa beat following some reggae session.

Between these 2 I'd go with Chutney in the Backyard Volume 4. They're not 'crappy' as many people have said but CIB4 is pretty good.

I'm feeling that chick in the video! That's one bad little shorty ! That's why she left his ass. She got out here and realised how she was in high demand as well as had numerous options and fled.

Just wanted 2 concur real quick with a few of the heads above as an east indian I personally have never been 2 big on chutney music like that. I furthermore never understood why hindi songs have 2 be remade by alot of these chutney artists. The originals are just fine the way they are and how is it creative 2 take somebody else's work and simply just remake it and in my opinion make it many times sound worse. I wonder how the east indian artist feel about this. Do they even know that there music is being duplicated ? I'm pretty sure they do. I also wonder if any attempts have been made on the part of these east indian artists to do something about this.

However I do feel that the the male chutney artists are able to pull off the whole duplication thing better than the female artists. I also feel some of the female chutney artists even when they are not attempting 2 remake a hindi tune and are doing their own thing sound horrible and can't sing 4 their lives but I mean that's just my opinion and is said with all due respect.

Djs mixing these hindi tunes now that's a whole different story as well as something I highly appreciate. To take a tune mix it and re-present it 4 the better and no doubt sometimes for the worse is something i'm down with. I grew up listening to mixes done by east indian djs like Jiten, Dsny, Jay Dabhi formerly known as Lil'Jay. I respect and was always fond of their contributions to the remix world. I got in to the west indian style of remixing a while back and felt it as well. I've been following it ever since then. See now West Indian remixing I could mess with, Soca's my shit too but chutney I just don't know about. Once again i'm just stating my opinion and say the above with all due respect.

    My fault for digressing !!!

I also think most of these chutney singover artists ruin the song. Bands like Karma and JMC Triveni are great bands, but they still make some of the worst records. For example that 'Chutney Ganja' from Karma sounds terrible, they shouldn't use old hindi songs and singover them and referring to ganja lol

Man the reason why the recent chuntey coming out now sucks it because of all the nice songs they came out wit during the summer. Cus this past summer the chutney thing was flowing and I guess the artists could not keep up with the hits they were making.

Remember in the summer how u would go to ah party and everyone be blasting the Summer Chutney 09 songs like Radica,Jep Sting, Dularie and all that?

U should but now those same artists porbably cant keep up with what they did during the summer, which is why they are singing old inidan chunes.

All we gotta do is wait for some big chunes to come pass by, But who knows when that will happen...

thats probaly tru, but most chunes were mad way before time. not all songs you herd during the summer time was made that same time lol.

some original songs weren't meant to be sung over. for example radica that did fine. others suck balls cuzz u will never defeat the original work.

N also it's 1 thing that these indian songs are being remade n jacked up n the process ! How are you going to jack up the name as well ! What the hell is Jep Sting ? Last time I checked the name 2 the song was Jabse Tere Naina.
