HELP! Unable to Edit Album, Artist, Year Etc in Windows Xp

    Hi all,

    I have no idea how to sort this one.

    On a few of my MP3 files, I can not add the album, artist etc, there is just no option to add it! It was not in there in the first place. See below image. I am in the right place for it - Properties, Summary, Advanced.

    this only happens to SOME of my music files, not all. I'm just trying to edit them.

    any help would be great.

    Download the program MP3Tag, a couple of people recommended this program to me when I asked them questions
    about ID3 Tagging Programs, on this site. Its easy to use, google it. Its the same program I use to organize the CDs I
    post up on here.

    i downloaded it, but cant figure out how to use it. i loaded an album on it, and changed the artist name for all. then saved. made no difference. help? tutorial of print screens of possible

    Roxio tag editor will edit any audio file type properties...name,genre,artists,year etc...Roxio Creator2010 or Roxio Creator 2011....

    i did that, and saved. it did not make a difference.

    If you check the properties of the track did it at least change, like if you add the album name did it
    show up, when you Right Click and go into properties.

    yo i had this problem also, and even with mp3tag i wasnt able to add tags to the mp3 file. what worked for me may not work for u but what i basically did was use xilisoft video converter , converted the mp3 files to mp3 (source and output is both mp3).then when i checked the tags of the converted files by right clicking and going into properties , i was able to add info.

    N.B some files gave an error when trying to convert, i haven't found a way to add tags to those yet

    see if it helps to convert the mp3 songs to wave....if it does...den..when u have it in wave...convert it back into mp3...and see if u can add some info to the songs....

    I think he means using Itunes to organize and edit your music
    I never tried it but maybe he can show you.
