Who Will Be 2011 Chutney Soca Monarch King?

It's that time of the year! Chutney Soca Monarch 2011! Last year we saw the crown go to Ravi B. for his hit song "Ah Drinka" The year before we saw Kenneth Salick overcome the odds with his hit song "Radica". Which chutney singer outshined everyone else this year? Whats your thoughts & opinions. Also add a brief explaination why you chose which chutney singer?

Wow, that pretty much sums up the HITS of 2011. By looking at the data, Ravi B. looks like the true winner & stand out star of 2011. But I'm not sure if he could win the monarch a second year a row. He'll definitely be in the top three.

Indeed, Anil Bheem is a great singer, i loved Cyah Go No Way & Gapuchi Gone, but i don't think he'll get the crown. I'm hoping for JMC Triveni, Rajin Dhanraj or Rick Ramatour.

If not then he's definitely top 3 ! JMC or Rick Ramatour also might be king, i highly doubt ravi b but he'll be in the top contestants though !

and the finals are in February !

Omadath Maharaj - Go Yuh Way <--- thats a really nice song, but I don't think it'll take the crown, maybe the top 10 or so. Superb song though

Ravi B. by just looking at his hits this year, Player, Cya Come, Wey Yuh Deh, he's on fire.
But he already won it last year & they should give the crown to someone new.

In actuallity, a Chutney Soca King can retain his crown, so we'll just have to see. any more thoughts!

this year...is one of the worst since the existence (95-96) of the Chutney Soca Monarch.

I never though that chutney soca chunes would be this low at this level as it is today...last year we had some (read some) chunes...that were keepers...keepers in a way that the songs would last for some time...when you play it like 3 or 4 years later that people still would sing a long....

But this year, it was really pathetic. I really hope that ravi b ends up somewhere between the 5th and 10th place......he and he 2 mil song...****ing joke!

So many shit came out this year...that you can't even make descent top 5 list....

Masta Mike isn't a bad singer, he does have a nice voice. He should sing his own song s & stop singing replies to others songs. Indrani story & ah drinka story.
