    its xeon i7
    in other words
    its a i7 chip with a different connection /motherboard fit
    thats all really

    and a higher price tag then the consumer i7's.
    it does bench mark higher of cource because its running on osx and most companies currently dont have access to the xeon i7's because apple is special.

    because intel only does good on benchmarks. in real world applications AMD is better,

    LOL you're kidding me right shawn? i understand if you may be talking about core 2 duo and older processors and comparing them to AMD but the newer i series blows away ANYTHING AMD produces. shit even the first generation i series blows away anything AMD currently has. wiki them both and read up on em, they are way different. and there's a reason it does good in benchmarks, because it's naturally faster at tasks. i would understand if you compare a dual core intel to a quad core AMD, the AMD would kick ass in multithreaded operations, but yeah thats like comparing a ferrari to a 300zx.

    I'm gonna have to test one these I7 machines. Ive never used any thing newer than my Intel core duo.
