So recently my laptop hasnt been able to connect to the internet anymore (it has nothing to do with the strength of the connection, my ps3 and ipad still connect to it perfectly) on top of that for some reason, it would randomly shutdown and i would get the blue screen, but then start up again. on the bluescreen it said something about drivers not being properly installed as a potential problem, well i did update a few drivers recently with drivermax but never had a problem. so i googled around and saw something about typing in 'fixhardware' in the search menu on windows7 for it to fix the problems, but that clearly didnot work (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2375684,00.asp) now i opened up device manager looking for a yellow triangle next to a problematic device but theyre all clear ! idk what the problem is, i dont have a virus since malwarebytes detected nothing, if you can help thanks alot .

Did the problem occurred after the driver update or before?

after and then i did that fixhardware search to see if it would detect a problem with the drivers, but it said it was fine. my guess is that those are the problem, but it may be something else. i dont remember the name of them but there not popping up as a problem either

Try installing the drivers available from the company's website.

Do what trev, said try getting the drivers from the official website, not just anywhere.

However before you re-install the drivers, uninstall the ones currently on your computer.

Usually the drives from the company's website does the job but make sure you install the right one and not one for another model. If the driver is completely fine, it has to be a program that's causing you to lose the connection to access the internet. Do a system restore and after system restore, connect to the Internet. If it seems fine, then it's an application you downloaded.

One tip I used was to go to Start > Type services.msc in the box if you have Windows 7 or in XP, go on run and then type it > Look for Wireless Zero Config and restart it. Check to see if anything for the network is disabled. Just make sure you don't trouble any advanced configs.

Firewalls will block application from communicating that's their job you have to create exceptions for them.
