some games that i want to play require more graphic memory than i have dedicated. my graphic card has a total of 1342 MB of available graphics memory and the total dedicated video memory is only 128 MB. some games that i want to play require over 512 MB to play without lagging and chopping. so my question is that is it possible to put in more dedicated video memory from the total system memory? if so how do i do that?

have u tried updating the graphics card? check OEM website for updates on the card. or read the troubleshooting faq's directly from oem, hope you resolve the issue.

i don't remember exactly. restart, hit F10 or F12, and look for shared memory.

as of now, i researched on alot of tech forums on google of this problem and found out that alot of other niggas want to know the same thing. from what ive been reading there is indeed a way to change the shared video memory from the total video memory by going through bios. but the particular bios thats on my pc it doesnt really let you change much besides the date, time, basic attributes, etc. so my next question is that am i looking at the right bios? and if i am, can i change the shared memory any other way?

i checked the nvidia control panel and the display settings to make sure i didnt forget to look anywhere i was suppose to but still cant find it. help ****ing pleaseeeeee

nah its iight. i already cussed up HP on the phone. my pc supposeably has an integrated video card which works hand and hand with the motherboard. so therefore my shared video memory cant be changed unless i ups the graphic ram but that wouldnt make much sense. so i guess i gotta stick with 128 MB for now

obviously, your graphics card is on-board. Stock on-board video cards are 128 megs, you can only change that by purchasing a PCI or PCI-E graphics card.

not really on board graphics could range from 128mb to 512mb so your good there with 128mb but you sould upgrade your memory for the games to increase fps
