Can you guys help me out with a way to like store my iPod music in my library somewhere because my iPod has like 16GB of music which is also on my computer. So I want to have some place to put the music so it doesn't take up so much space.

you could do that, then again itunes let you choose which songs you want on ur ipod and which songs you keep in ur itunes library
you can check the selected songs you want on ur ipod and only those will be on, while the rest stays in ur itunes library

just direct your itunes library to the folder thats on ur external hard drive...

thatll make ur external music folder ur default and u cud keep ur misc organized dat way too if u want....

if u dont alrdy have ur music on da external.... but u wanna put the music from ur desktop onto your external while still maintaing playlists.... ratings... id3 info.... then u gotta export ur library.... the xml file.... open it up in notepad.... and do a find/replace and change all the old directory entries(desktop) to the new directory(external hard drive).....
