Ok, I found out why I kept getting disconnected from Xbox Live when my house phone rings. The GHZ in my Router Settings doesn't match the one on my house phone. My house phone is 5.8 ghz. In my router settings, I went through the list of ghz's but I don't see 5.8. I need help please.
i dont think ur house fone has to match the on on the route, matter of fact i think the ghz on hte fone interferes with what the router is outputting,do u have a wireless router or wired?
Encrypted, how do I change the channel? Mark, I don't know if I have a Wireless Router. But I'm using a wireless adapter from my Xbox 360 to the router.
once u have a antennae on ur router, its wireless maybe u cud trya frimware update ,whitch is done through the computer directly hooked up thru it,lookup how to do a firmaware update under help or sumthing, for the router every router is diffrent, last time my freind had truble with his ps3 kept disconeecting and all de did was a firmware update and it wurked fine after
Ok, my router has those 2 black antennas hanging out of each side of the router. So I guess its wireless. How do you do a firmware update?
your saying your internet disconnects when your phone rings. from that I can tell you have dsl, cuz cable doesnt have shit to do with phone lines. you say your phone is 5.8 ghz and your router is 2.4ghz. no problem there. check your dsl filters. make sure theres a filter on every phone line where theres a phone. make sure there ISNT a filter on the line that goes to the dsl modem. reset your router to factory settings. dont do a firmware update. check all that and get back to this thread
