    two ways:

    genre/year groups

    ex:
    classic dancehall
    2004 to 2006 dancehall

and all songs renamed with the bpm in the front inorder from fastest to slowest.

    OR

    genre with just big songs

    "one drops from each genre/year"

I just dumped a new 1TB HD into my laptop, so figuring out how to organize all this crap, i might just take the best of what everyone has to say, and see what works for me. I been looking for a surefire way to keep it organized on my computer as well as on serato, but it always ends up jumbled heh.

I sort my music in Genres then I organize based on Album name. This works well for any music type. If I have single tracks I make a folder with the Genre and the year (ie. Soca 2009).

One thing thats important to me is that everything is sorted the same in Serato and Windows Explorer.
