Sup guys.. I'm looking for an external usb sound card so I can have two channels coming out of my virtual DJ and was wondering what you guys thought i should get. I've been looking around and it seems everyone seems to like this Maya 44 USB sound card which would work with VDJ and Vista.

It has 4 line in/out's and the latency is pretty low. Its about $99 which is reasonable I think, I don't want to get a cheap one and have it crap out. So here's the link. Let me know what you guys think.

BTW I have an HP Pavilion dv7 with a 2.1ghz AMD processor.

well if you are willing to spend some dollars go for serato, I'm telling you it beats the hell out of the other brands in my opinion. Had it for about 2 months now and its really easy to use especially when you know the basics.

Yea the specs on it def looks pretty good for a basic DJ setup.. it seems to have the most performance for your buck outta most of the cards..

As for serato.. yea man i was thinking of getting that.. but seeing as i'm just really starting up i wanna keep everything a little lower cost right now and see how far I can go later on na'mean? But i def wanna work my way up to use serato..

The DJ IO is a solid card too i heard but i like this maya one cuz it has 4 lines and i think the latency on the IO is a little bit higher.. i'll order it today and let you guys know how it works wtih vdj

    when you say "low latency"
    that doesnt mean much
    its usb
    usb chews up cpu

and if you dont have a strong cpu and memory to begin with your already hurting chances.

combine that with a poor dvs equals =fail!!!!!!

but i have been seeing allot of vdj users using that maya shit so i would go that route anyways LOL.

research it man there are a trillion threads on millions other forums about this card, dont ask here not many guys here even dj.

i've been using the maya usb card on vista 64x and it's been workin' great bro.. no issues at all.. install and configure in vdj and you're good to go.. it's either the soundcard or something to do with the computer speakers.. try the soundcard on a different laptop to see if that's the problem.. if it's not then that cancels that issue out and it has to do with your computer

Well on XP it work fines, on another Vista Computer same thing. i mean The Numark DJIO is one of the best out there, and pretty much is the same as GigaPort AG and the one u got, NUmark got the Update, but yet still not working i think that an issue with the drivers for the 64bit hardware. i willgo back to my xp use it, upgrade it with memory and more space, make money then purchase SL3

yea the maya 44 usb is a great way to start off. I dont see any difference in the serato that the maya can do tho.

u cant compare serato wiith maya or DJIO son, now tryign to create war, but serato is solid i believe u aint use it yet so u wont, when i first started using serato is like hell no i go back to VDJ but trust me i forget about DJIO and MAYA my advice for the VDJ people, try the New MixDeck or nothign wont go wrong just save and get the CDJ 400 pioneer. lata
