    hopefully this poll with help me narrow down to a certain brand...
    and why do you think that specific brand is the best?

    you should buy a laptop on black friday cause they gonna sell like 298 398....and the laptops come fully loaded with the normal programs

    no specific brand name is "the best." Certainly some brands are more reliable than others, but it depends what you are going to use it for, what programs you will be running, and how much your budget is. after that is figured out...you can start comparing what the computer has and the prices.

    Hp sucks ass. I've had like 3 laptops from them back in high school. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get an Hp unless you don't have a big budget or need something temporary.

    a custom built is the best ! what ever you want on a pc it could happen and you cant complain because you did ask for it right ? yall ever seen ibuypower or digitalstorm ?? shyt is banging 8)

    To hell with hp Dell is the best, Hp uses some of dell parts so u practically buying a dell when u buy a hp computer...

    the thing is, ive been with hp/compaq my entire life and making the change to something other then them isnt easy, mac vs windows?
    im sorry but i gotta stick with windows and i appreciate the commentes but i think im gonna stick with hp

    HP is the way to go... got the hp dv6-1245dx.. ill laptop..also pretty cheap imo!

    All computers use some of the same parts; Dell doesn't own everythin.
    BTW, DELL IS OVERPRICED; and so is apple.....

    the best laptop brand i think is or has to be Dell.
