I finally decided to work on some West Indian stuff. So i wanted to try a CD . After a while, I gave up, because I lost confidence. Do YOU think this would've been a good CD? -Constructive Criticism and tips much appreciated. -NRam Exodus Records Hidden Content: Please reply with 'Thanks' to view the hidden content. Definitely not bad for a mix on a cd, but we'd have to check out numerous songs on the cd with their beats. If you wanna see if your 'cd' material, the best place is to post up a cd right here. People will tell you what you need to work on or if you know people who can set you up, go for it. Just ask around and you'll find out if you wanna produce an album or not. Really good mix though, I'd listen to it and I do like the song selection. My opinion, go for it.
Thanks man, well i'm not sure about this one anymore. It's very boring to me now. I really need something different.
the mix is okay. but ive heard your other remixes on youtube and i can say you really have talent. i think you should go for it.
yeah bro, i checked it out and it sounds good, just need to work on the equalerz on the song, but it reallly is good just keep doing what you doing and you'll get the hang of how o set up everything perectly, but the mix is reall nice i like your transitions it was very clean, but dont give up mixing ur good.
too much tassa on the mixes,,, You need to learn to work with other percussion's while making/using a beat. Creating variety and being different is always attractive to a listener. I can listen to almost any CD and see where you are going with these mixes. Back to the first point, The tassa being used could be substituted with congo'sTimbales, and even some tabla. Same goes with the repetitive bells you have on the 8th notes. TASSA WILL NOT SUBSTITUTE FOR SNARES... so turn the snares up The track listing is good just needs to be organized a bit more. The EQ's for these songs can also be way better try not to kill so much highs on the tracks If you are really finding remixing boring then try something new when mixing or even go back to old mixes and fixing them up.
that was a nice mix, i loved your transistions. you could definitely come out with CD material mixes. There was a little too much tassa on the beat, like the post above said, turn the snare up.
not a bad job...the constructive was givin perfectly by the man Biggs above^^^... and i agree with what he says especially on the tassa...i wasnt diggin the tassa too much...but excellent transitions...keep doin yah ting
damn, the EQ is ****ed. I'm not really diggin the beats. and the stutter and gapping has too go. you don't want people too get confused when dancing too this also, stop using you vocals & tassa so much, like the prev. post said learn too use more percs then tassa. this isn't 04 lol. I've heard you remix reggae I think you should stick too it and leave indian alone. (note: these are just my honest opinions)
