Bigshat Ent - Summer Slam Review

When i looked at the tracklisting of this cd...i was like...hmmmm those songs are very very common...But okay...just gave it a shot..because i got curious about it....de cover was eyecatchy yes

And like i thought....the cd doesn't sound that spectacular at all!! How fast do these guys make these remix cds? I can clearly hear that they hardly put in any effort in making remixes of some of these songs...all those kicks and snares...the same shit.....basic samples from Fruityloops...it comes along when yu install that program...


Now this cd wasn't that terrible at all...it had some good things off course...

Common...doesn't means it can't be remixed better..... I really liked 09 - O Jaane Na Jaane..that one sounding very nice yes..10 - Mera Naam Salami Dhoban...was sounding okay..but better than the rest yes...19 - Hogaye Teri Hogaye...same ting like track 10.....20 - Seeka Nahin Sabakta and 21 - Piya Tu....these were very nice too...but the rest of the cd...was just KWACK

I thought this cd was alright. Just alright ! It was better than 4 aces for sure but still it was only mediocre. The only joint I really felt between 4 aces & this cd was that piya tu tune @ the end of SS.

 

as you can tell by the tracks and remxies on the cd, you should figure out that these remixes were made to be played at parties. they arent for people to listen to and be all 'omg that skills'. this is one cd you WILL hear at parties.

 

To me dey jus took da best of Rum Shop n remixed it

 

Trigga you hit it right on the spot. THis cd and any cd i make is for people to listen to and even play at a party. The customer who ACTUALLY BUY the cd are not looking for 5 different beat on one song or a bunch of effect and i will say this regardless of what people have to say about any of my cds, they are selling and selling very good so obviously the cd is right for the right people who buys them.

 

I thought the CD was excellent actually, clean mixes, and from a DJ's perspective, yeah thats right a DJ perspective, not a "remixer", i say the CD is perfect because every song is common for the crowd to keep dancing...i am actually DJing tomorrow and ima drop it and ill let u guys know how successful it is!...The basslines are great!...nice job Big Shat!...Big Up!

 

I personally love it. Can't complain. Its more upbeat compared to "bottoms up".

 

this cd has good tracks to play at any party. The mixes were good but the tracklist is just too common. it sounds like all the songs came from the Rumshop Collection.

 

this CD had somes great songs.....BUT im kinda of getting tired of hearing the same old indian songs out there....there are thousands of indian movies with plenty songs....remix some oda songs then the same ting over and over

Tracks..2,3,4,5,6,7,8,11,12,13,14,19,21....these songs are on almost all them remix cds that come out....

 

dem run outta songs honestly if i could remember vishal had called me and asked me for like 30-40 songs....honestly i really don't mind but they had their fame i wanna get mines now!!!!!!!!

 

Well I am glad you using your correct name to do reviews and not that bs Steven shit you were pulling the other day. As per of conversation I keep telling you, the style of the west indian (guyanese djs) might not be your thing bro. I mean you the man an thing when it comes to chutney but quite frankly I think you like that surniname, desi remix style . I have no idea why a guy like Bigfishosupreme even does buy these cds also, maybe its just because he likes the attention of getting reps, I mean I know for sure he don't like the west indian remixs cds he more of bollywood new song dude, dj jiten, lucky johal and the rest of them indian indian djs. You got to understand KBIS, BIgSHAT, me we all guyanese and guess what we do cds for the crowd we know. So Nasty until you could produce a cd that will make me change my opinion, this is what I think of your opinion on the guyanese remix cds. SO please prove me wrong.

 

4 Aces Sucked, well it didnt, it was a damm good Cd! but well... it sucked at the same time. Summer Slam!!! hahaha! come on, its the SAME SONGS, only with a different beat. I only support CD's that i like and i recommend CDs to other people, its not like I download stuff for free. I buy CD;s, well I use to. $5 for this CD... ??? Yeah.... I just don't see myself endorsing this CD. -n- I'm not *****ing, I got Indian originals that i'm jammin to. The way i see it, Stylistic can suck my balls and VP can kiss my nuts. They Suck! We are all getting tired of the same damn thing over and over and over again.
