just unplug the cable modem and wait a while. then start > run > type "cmd" > type
"ipconfig /release" then press enter. then type "ipconfig /renew" and enter.

Shawn, you wouldn't have to wait unless you're assigned the same IP address you had before, sometimes it does happen and sometimes it doesn't. Many downloading websites keeps track of your IP address so you do not have several files downloading at the same time, they restrict you to one download per time so if time is an issue for you, you'll have to upgrade your account.

Neither do I but I'm saying if you want to get pass the time issues, you'll have to get a premium account.

if you have rogers cable modem, they issue your IP on a lease period, so using ipconfig /release and /renew will just request a ip from your modem NOT rogers itself, rogers controls your IP so to get a new IP you would have to call in and ask, im sure they will ask why you want to do that tho, OR you can leave your modem powered off for 12hrs and you will get a new IP but in that cause ur still stuck with time to wait. You might have better luck using proxy. A good proxy is hard to find!

To get into to rogers modems you need a password and then you also have to figure out the subnet range so that you can pick a IP in the same class but one that is now in use by someone else.......trust me I tried all this, its no easy task, I suggest just waiting to download, its alot less headache.
