What are some good free antivirus software? I've tried AVG, its alright kind of slows down your computer. I tried Avira, man every little move you make some pop up comes up lol.

Right now I'm using ThreatFire, its working pretty well. I'm looking around to see if I can find a better one.

The only thing I don't like about Norton is that it takes forever to scan.

Would you really take any kind of advice from a person with the mentality of the one I quoted above. The way he carries himself gives me the feeling that he's very uneducated.

I have downloaded a lot of bullshit that has viruses. My anti-virus scans and picks it up and doesn't even let it run so there's no way that you can get infected. There is also a option to do a boot time scan which searches your entire hard drive before it loads windows for viruses that couldn't normally be deleted while windows is running. Avast Home Edition is very good and I have yet to try the professional version. But don't take it from me, try it yourself.

    Avast and AVG

    Who said norton? NORTON SUCKS
Norton does not pick up all viruses... and it uses too may resources often slowing down computers
AVG and Avast are great, and they don't slow down ur computer. I use avast right now and love it, i have never had virus problems since it detects them right away.

  17. im pretty sure avast is the best free one.

i would go with Avast, its free and updates everyday. i normally try to stay away from the big names like norton and mc afee, seems like every time your subscription runs out, that's when you get hit with all the shit.
