Virtual Dj, Serato is for live Mixing. For Cleaner Mixes for Cd's and prerecorded mixes Acid makes it work much better.

You can get Serato scratch live off Craigslist ( depending on where you live ) for cheap. I bought mine for 250 for everything. I use that and Virtual DJ 7 and for Remixing I use Acid Cool Edit. Its up to you to know what you want.

so far acid pro has been the easiest thing to remix with, and Serato for live. Its reliable as hell, simple to use and straight to the point... Im starting to get into Ableton now. that new bridge with Serato and Ableton should be interesting.

serato is a nice program and vdj is a nice program as well
these two are the best, **** traktor lol

if i had to choose between them it'd be vdj.. why? its cost effective cuz u can crack it, AND it has a sampler, something serato is missing and u'd need another program to do

also, with the new vdj, u can have multiple decks.

the only reason i use serato now is cuz my ns7 was made for it, and it performs better/cleaner with serato itch. every button is mapped out and the scratching is better.

I use Traktor Pro with a Denon hd2500 controller..works sweet... All effects are pre-selected and mapped out and list scrolling is a knob/turn dial. looping and cue-ing is all good too...i cud use a faster laptop however and you definately need the audio4 or 8 interface that goes with traktor for the real-time feel with scratching
