IPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock-- NEWS

Alright fellow mastahpiece users, here's the scoop on the iphone 4 JB and Unlock.

Ok guys, as of yesterday planetbeing; a member on the iphone dev team (the jailbreaking team) has officially jailbroken and unlocked the iphone 4. This is some great news, and the release looks very soon but, the dev team is waiting on Apple to release 4.01 or 4.1 to fix the software signal issue, when you hold the phone.

As for our famous creator of blackra1n (Geohot or George Hotz) has been acting stupid lately, an has announced that he has quit the jailbreak community. THIS IS BS. Geohot, does this all the time and complains that he is quitting because he has no money, but the kid lies. he is LOADED. Especially since he posted on his blog, the iphone 4 jailbroken. we will defienetly here more from him, hes just throwing a tantrum like a five yr old.

yea, theres a free ultility in the appstore from apple, called " Find My iPhone." it works for the ipad and ipod touch too. hmu if u need assistance.

You can remotely wipe the device with it too.

 

I hear alot about jailbreaking iphones....is it actually worth it? From my understanding, you cannot connect to itunes if u jailbreak your phone and perform an update because it will restore the phone to factory settings.

 

not true. hears the truth:
1) If you backup your iphone, and upgrade (while its jailbroken) , everything is still on your phone, AS LONG AS YOU BACKED IT UP!
2) when you upgrade, you have to rejailbreak ur iphone.
3) after rejailbreaking ur iphone, go into ur itunes and re sync ur iphone , after doing that, your old jailbroken tweaks will still be there, but the apps you had might not. ( things such as infinddock, lockinfo, mobilenotifier, proswitcher) are tweaks that will still be there after u do steps 1, 2 AND 3.


As for your initial question,

I cant live without a jailbroken iPhone. I love it all. just having access to the root gives u more power for custoimzation that u could imagine. just give it a try. if u dont like it (im almost 90% sure you will) then you can just restore back to Apple's original version of iOS. However, i really suggest jailbreaking if u want a "free" phone. I love it, and i will never go back to a normal iphone, in my view, they just suck.
