    I don't know if my ears are deceiving me, but the latest chutney music that has been released HAVE TECHNO beats in them. I heard about Chutney Soca music, whats this Chutney Techno business going on?

    Vishan Mohammed - Ah Shulda Listen To Nana & Nani
    Rikki Jai - Pania Baran Mat Ja
    Ravi Babooram - What's Going On
    Terry Gajraj - Ex Boyfriend

    I also have noticed songs like Shake Senora & Give Me Everything, On The Floor resung with indian songs being considered as "Chutney Music".

    its every kind of music.. shit getting f**k up!!.. everyone trying to have that american top 40 sound.. cuse dance music is in style if you listen to radio.. so yea chutney.. even some soca is sounding real electronic.. reggae sounds like dirty south hip hop.. shit is all messed up... music is moving away from its roots.. its sad

    After listening to "Ah shoulda listen to nana and nani", that song would actually sound good if it was put on a traditional tassa chutney beat. maybe someone will make a decent remix out of it, but that electro shit doesnt even flow right with the vocals.

    I agree with you Tr3v, the songs being put out sound pretty good. Pania Baran Mat Ja and Ah Shuda Listen To Nani would would sound so much better with a traditional chutney beat. I find it funny how we always complain how we want bhojpuri lyrics in a new chutney song, we finally get bhojpuri lyrics, but then we get it on a TECHNO BEAT. WTF! I don't know whats going on anymore. CHUTNEY MUSIC isn't going to make it main stream, it never has, it never will. Stop trying to put techno beats on it thinking it will make it internationally. I pisses me off, how am I suppose to fist pump to bhojpuri lyrics? How do you fist pump to a rum song? I would rather twirl my hand and screw the lightbulb. This is a recent trend going on, meaning theres probably more to come.
    Goodbye Chutney Soca, say hello to Chutney Techno.

    The hindi lyrics in pania baran mat ja sounds great, but of course they have to add English which really is not necessary in real chutney music. Chutney has a lot of potential, just have artists that don't know what they're doing.
