Bitdefender is the one I find the most effective. But Kapserksky is good.

    Norton is already worn out.

I used to use Avast, but had a situation where I was infected, and Avast could not find the virus. I researched it and found that Kaspersky is one of the better AV utilities out there. I've been using it for the past 2 years and have zero complaints.

I got Comodo Firewall from some site, but I might switch to one of these you guys been talking about. Comodo has been working very well for me. Light on the resources, has a sandbox. Has modes like from Light Security to LockDown to Game mode. It detected one file that was so-called irremovable but I'm liking what I hear about Microsoft Essentials.

AVG and Norton,I know from experience is a waste a time. Each of those programs I had on my old laptop. Every time I tried one of them again, I had to do a full restore because of ****ed up registry, or just because It wouldn't let me use the internet or some other problem that did not have anything to do with my Computer Security.
