Thought I'd try something different. This is NOT one of those mixes for parents. Most, if not all, would prolly hate this. This is about the concept and tryna go a little outside the box. So take a listen, and drop me some feedback. This is the first draft, so its rough around the edges. *updated
different for sure. some of that drum & bass. works well. but dont see the remix style being popular lol. creative concept for sure tho
I dont like this maybe because im not use to hearing these type of remixes, but props to you for trying something new...def creative
thanks for the comment Wasim. I dont know if the style will be popular - maybe it'll work for the younger generation. For now, it was just a technical exercise (and procrastination from studying). Possibly - maybe play it a couple times and see if it grows on you - but this deffo wont be for everyone. Thanks for the comment dude! + rep for the pair of you. *P.s. Link Updated
I don't have headphones with me to go into detail with this mix but from what I'm hearing from my laptop speakers lol, it sounds pretty damn good. I love the creativity. Something is missing though, I got bored of the Drum & Bass after a minute or so, something different need to be added in between the verses. Something 1/2 the BPM of the Drum & Bass beat and using a smooth transition to bring it back in. Good mix though. I wish I had headphones with me for this one.
Thanks for the advice chap. You should deffo take a listen with headphones (or proper speakers) - the bassline is amazing! I like the concept of having something half the D&B bpm - I'll mess around with the mix and see what happens. + rep!
I agree with Torunto. Definitely keep that in mind if you decide to make more mixes like this. I'm liking the creativity you showed as well. Who knows, you might start wan new trend skunt
Cheers chap. Lol I wonder if this will catch on too, but I doubt it - especially in the west indian remix-scene. I just got bored of 'normal' remixes. Plus, I ran outta TaSsA cuztomsz
Yeah I really like when the bassline drops. Thanks for the comment. And yes, this movie did have some great songs!
Definitely sounding like that UK garage music lol the beat reminds me of power puff girls lol but i like it the bassline got a bit plain though but still a nice different sound
Funnily enough, my next thought was dropping proper UK garage beats on indian songs and see what happens. Hmm I appreciate you fellas thinking the beat gets boring / plain after a while - I might just keep the mix short and just for a 'technical exercise'. LOL power puff girls was the sh1t back in the day! When you gonna brush the dust off acid and get back into remixing chap?
I actually tried recently and i honestly can't put mixes together the way i used to. Like i have these nice ass concepts in my head but i can't execute them at all. lol
