I have an EV subwoofer here, got it real cheap, and thats cause its scratched up like a mother ****er.

It works perfectly though, so I'd like to paint it. What paint should I use for the grill? And what paint should I use for the enclosure?

Here is what the speaker is SUPPOSED to look like

I'll update later on what it looks like at the moment. Any tips would be much appreciated!

LOL and I'd get it back painted as the TnT Flag.

was it the one you used last night at the sweet 16? if thats the one, i think you should sand it down and paint it back.

I had two subs, the taller one to the right is the one I'm talking about. I wasn't going to bring it cause of its look, BUT, I'm glad I did since the hall did not allow me to put any speakers off the stage near the dancefloor.

I want to paint it back the same color, do you recommend any specific paint?

EDIT: Did some research and was told NOT to sand the enclosure. As I already knew, I just gotta get an oil based primer and paint, and spray paint for the grill. I'll post up pics of my before and after.

If its wood you won't be able to get the cracks out by just painting the cabinet. You would have to sand it down and put some duratex or similar paint on the speaker.

Speaker definitely looks hot....brand new. Hope the paint holds up. Definitely did a good job on that.

The paint is actually pretty cheap, I might do over my other speakers soon if they get some more scuffs.
