there was a wasp on my laptop so i smashed it with my hand. Now whenever I turn it on it freezes at bios. I tried booting it without the hard disk and different memory sticks and it still happens. Any ideas on this? I can take it apart if needed. Thanks in advance.

try taking the battery out and leave it for a few, you probably damaged ur hard drive from the shock.

it can't be the hd since he already tried without the hd. the battery could be faulty (i had the same problem with my old alienware notebook). remove the battery and let it boot using the ac adapter.
