I like Intel more. The 2nd gen i3's, i5s, and i7s should be cheap now since the third gens came out

    since u linked one for 489, 499.. - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1732335&Sku=H24-15249

1 USB 3.0 + other 2.0's, 2nd gen i3, 15inch screen, it looks nice, webcam, 6hr battery life, and antiglare screen too.. can't go wrong.

Oh and I really like the full keyboard.

3 Years will rack some malware up in that hood. A clean reinstallation, backed with Tune Up Utilities and CCleaner would be nice. Also, schedule monthly disk defrags, if you see fragmentation being the same every month maybe the harddrive going again 3 years old means alot of work. Overheating can be another cause, check the vents ensure the fans working also don't use laptops on beds with the covers blocking the vents so hot air has no where to escape, it decreases your laptop life.

Ok so I went to best buy today and I saw some more that I liked

    Laptop #1 #399.99
HP Intel Core i3 2350M Processor Laptop
    17.3" 4GBDDR3 500GB HD 5 Hour Batter Life
    Windows 7 Home Premium Webcam

    Laptop #2 $379.99
HP Intel Core i3 2350 Processor Laptop
    15.6" 4GBDDR3 320GB HD 5hours and 45min Battery Life
    Windows 7 Home Premium Webcam

    Laptop #3 $399.99
Toshiba Intel Core i3 2350M Processor Laptop
    15.6" 4GBDDR3 500GB HD 5hours and 42 mins Battery Life
    Windows 7 Home Premium Webcam

What do you guys think about those?

Also one of the chefs that I worked with got Laptop #1 and the lady said he could choose from any of these 4 anti-virus protection for a year and only pay $20. Secure Anywhere, Kaspersky, Trend Titanium, or Norton. Which one of these are the best, Kaspersky?

They have one year for $20, two years for $49.99 and three years for $79.99 Are those worth it? I know i can come on here and get some for free but I was thinking about adding the 1 year one for $20.

Im going to buy one this weekend by the way.

Actually I was just reading around the forum and I see that a lot of people like this avast home edition.

They sound the same performance wise.. its just a matter of looks and additional features for you to look at. Btw, according to PCMag in 2011 or 2010, Avast free + Ad aware free was the best protection you can get from free antivirus. Install spybot (also free) and you're set!

Don't bother with norton (resource hog/TOO MANY FALSE POSITIVES), kaspersky is good, but I had a virus once and it did not find it, and NOD32 from ESET did. Basically, don't bother paying for antivirus lol

Between laptop number 1 and 2 what would u choose? since there the same Ram and HD

and im pretty sure avast and AD ware are on here so ill get that and ill be ok

let me see the model numbers. I like the Toshiba more though cause its a 15 inch. I had a 17inch laptop before, and its pretty big. Its only good if you need a large screen for like DJing, or Acid, or video editing (stuff I do lol), but carrying it around moving it is a pain in the ass! Its personal preference.
