    1.)BootCamp

If you want to switch between mac os x and windows frequently, I would recommend parallel. If you want a solid i operating system, use bootcamp. Also, parallels requires a good system so check out the system requirements before you install anything. Parallels drained me computer so I went with bootcamp. What are your system specs?

nothing beats an actual windows pc, especially for acid. i've tried using acid on my macbook, and i have parallels and did bootcamp, but it just sucks.
Ended up building a new pc.

On my mac bootcamp works the best as parallels you don't have to reboot but it kills your battery power quickly and not as efficient.

Bootcamp definitely! Parallel is a horrible program. I feel as if there isn't a computer fast enough to power the software correctly.

Im surprised there is so much hate on Parallels. I must use a windows OS for some of the proprietary software I use for work, and Parallels works excellent!

As others have said, bootcamp requires a shut down and a reboot into another OS, and therefore I think defeats the purpose of a mac.

Parallels runs side by side OSX.

Curious all of you with negative reviews on Parallels, how much memory are you running on your macbooks?

I noticed the sluggishness of the software with the standard 4gb that came with the macbook, but once I upgraded to 8gb and set parallels to dedicate 3gb (roughly, max that 32bit windows can support) specifically to the windows OS, it worked like a charm. This left roughly 5gb available for OSX to use. No crashes, no sluggishness... and with several OSX apps and windows apps open side by side in coherence mode.

Just a suggestion if you want to give it a try. Totally worth it in my opinion. I've no experience with Acid and dont know what kind of resources it uses, but I do know adobe photoshop and its seriously resources intensive and i noticed no issues utilizing it in windows via parallels on my macbook.
