    winamp for music
    VLC for movies

both use little resources unlike itunes and WMP, hate itunes\wmp because takes longer to load than VLC\Winamp

Default with OS. No Point to install other media players. It just slows down the system down.

i use VLC player, because it will play almost every media format. I like the fact to that the volume can also go past 100% so if your listening to something that's too low you can boost it!

For music, I use Winamp. Something about it that I just find simple to use.

Over the last little while, I've been using VLC just cause it plays all of the media formats I use.
