How Can I Make a File/folder Into rar. file?

    download and install winrar.

    once installed, select the folder you want to turn into a .rar, right-click -> add to archive. a winrar window should open. make sure "rar" is selected, then hit "ok", and it should zip the folder.

    simple, right click on the file and click on "add to archive" or something like that

    The lastest Winrar 4.20 installs fine on Windows 8. Make sure u getting it from the right web site. rarlabs dot com.

    any program that works on Windows 7, will also work on Windows 8. their file directories are just the same.

    not entirely true. some programs are code base specific.
    windows 7 programs run in "desktop mode" in windows 8.

    sort of like when some programs had to run in XP mode
    some years ago.

    I am running Windows 8 and WinRAR works fine, I downloaded the 64 Bit edition from www.rarlab.com.

    it is very simple just install winrar
    select any file
    then right click choose add to rar
    your file has been converted in to rar
