So i just installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit off of a torrent from piratebay, the installation went fine but now it wont let me connect to the internet. Under device manager it says i need the network controller and PCI Simple Communications Controller drivers which I looked onto dell's website and could not find. I have a dell inspiron 1764 so if anyone could help me, id appreciate it.

I'd just download everything for the network drivers

You will need it for the 32 bit version, I had that same problem before..
I ended up uninstalling the one for 64 bit and it worked fine after that, I think you should be able to find it on the dell website enter your service tag

Rule of thumb is you would use x64 if you have 4GB or more of RAM.
