    quick question guys: Is there a converter to transfer from a video cassette to a DVD? If yes, where can I buy one and do I need a software?

    Yep there is a simple one from sony about $400.

    Or you can easily by the cassette to MP3 converter which uses your computer to record the cassette to an mp3 file on your PC. Then, you can add the songs to a playlist in iTunes and burn a CD. Hope this helps!
