Laptop processor upgraden

    I might want to upgrade my laptop. Is this okay or not?
    I have a Acer Aspire 4830TG TimelineX.
    There is now an i5 and I would like to do an i7 ... but there are so many. To be precise, there is now an i5 2410m in. Which would fit in the laptop because I've read that there were several sockets or something.

    I have the SSD already upgraded to 1 tb and the RAM memory to 16 gb.
    So is it gonna make a difference if i would upgrade the processor also?

    You can upgrade to a Intel Core i7-2670QM @ 2.20GHz CPU.
