It seems like anybody and just download some music and by a cheap player and call themselves a DJ these days. Most youths don't really understand the process or know how to mix and match tempo. Let me know what you think?

the technology today allow most youngsters to "believe" that DJing and music production is easy. DJing is about knowing your music, knowing the crowd you are playing for and keeping them entertained. It would help if people that call themselves DJs appreciated and play as much music genres as possible. I find that most young DJs are copycats....one thing that irks me is that these "DJs" play only what they hear on radio go to a party, plays the same thing and just bores you to death. On the other hand the modern tech allows people that were always interested in music and some DJing to get themselves started without spending a whole bundle.

The remixes are not as good as they used to be, I remember the DSNY era and Munday in black, nowadays they don't really care and release albums that lack real quality.

The kids are the generation, so i think we its important to teach them but the problem they think they know everything. Ive been spinning records before they were born but they know everything. Music structure and controlling the crowd is key to a successful set, but only experience will teach you that. Not pressing buttons on a controller and talking shit on a mic

The kids that are becoming DJ's, yes may have everything given to them by their parents, but the sad truth is they are the future of the industry. Once all the older DJ's are gone, theyre all that we have left, so we should be giving any new coming djs as much help as possible, because if we keep putting them down the industry will collapse as well.
