    Serato is more geared towards a intermediate or advanced dj! Where as Virtual DJ is for more a beginner! So you have to know your skill level before making the choice!

    I gotta ask, how does Virtual DJ 8 compare to Serato for those who have used both. VirtualDJ8 has improved a lot over VDJ 7

    Serato and VirtualDJ are similar but NOT at the same level. Its like comparing Microsoft Paint with Adobe Photoshop. VDJ on the whole is for the bedroom or occasional DJ. Serato is like Photoshop, its geared for the professional. VDJ 8 to me is far better than VDJ 7 and worthy to be compared to Serato. One advantage of VDJ is that it supports far more devices out of the box and allow you to map controls for those obscure, outdated USB controllers

    Virtual Dj is the best in my opinion, It has a much nicer interface and better perks, especially the latest version

    To be honest, Im slowly becoming a good dj. BUT VIRTUAL DJ is for beginners, or for atleast not professionally. People or clients will look at you more professionally if you use serato.
