fast vs slow mixing at parties

    ARE you a dj that mixes fast or slow at a party...or do u just stick to either one or go with the crowd....what say u?

    At private parties, I do slow mixing when it comes to spinning indian, chutney, and older soca. When it comes to newer type soca and reggae, I'll do a lot of quick transitions.

    it depends on the music. you need to make sure that you transition the song to flow into the next one so that it does not sound awkward when your on the dancefloor.

    i usually watch the crowd and then mix according to what will flow to keep the mood transitioning good. when it comes to faster selections i mix faster...
    usually get the crowd worked up for a while then slow it back down to give them a break to build up energy to go again..

    fast mix for the party for the party to be pumping
