i upgraded and so far it works pretty good...my dad got tricked into a recent hacker where they tried to scam him into paying them to remove viruses..but he stopped from paying..however they made him thru CMD put a startup password..with windows 10 i was able to re0build the machine and all data was intact without backing up. it cleared all MBR records and all settings and now the machine works good..

Better than Windows 8 just because I hated the tile layout and there was no start button.

Theres a lot of Privacy issues with Windows 10. I would Search how to disable some of the features so you're not sharing your traffic habits and preferences without your consent.

It's worth the upgrade from windows 8.1 ... a lot less bulkier and simplistic. Love the feel of it as well as the reincarnation of the start menu.

I would prefer windows 10 over windows 8, I didn't like the tiles and was missing the home button.

Windows 10 is overall a good OS. There are some minor bugs but is much more stable then Windows 8. Windows 8 was a waste of time.

Worth it if you're using Windows 8/8.1 but not if you're on Windows 7

as one that repairs computers.... they are things about Windows 10 that irritate me. I think that it is unfinished and hiding behind the updates to "finish" it. If you have a recent laptop i.e one bought within the last 3 yrs... it should be good. Anything older and i would choose between 7 & 8.1..bypass Windows 8 proper.
