i think the better question would have been what do you use, serato or traktor?

won't lie, i started way back went from pcdj -> dssdj -> virtual dj -> SSL -> serato dj

at first i used the virtual dj with the virtual dj remote on an iPad.
Not professional, i later got a pro set up and stopped using virtual dj.

if using virtualdj only use from version 8. Older versions are not optimised and guaranteed to hang. VirtualDJ doesnt have as much effects as Serato....but depending on what type of DJ you are it wont matter

Serato by default....this is only for professionals, if you love deejaying, im pretty sure you will only use serato...now for advanced pro, traktor is the way to go
