Has anyone crashed a Solid State Drive? I have a sandisk extreme pro 2 that i used to DJ and I had it under a year which I crashed with windows 7 and I cannot recover or start the SSD
SSD stands for Solid State Device. What that means is it uses ttl transistors to store data. IF it's truly a HARDWARE crash, then your data might never be recoverable, but perhaps it crashed and just lost the boot records, which means your data is still there. Can you boot off a cd and run a disk check, this will test the drive without damaging anything. If the test goes through, then you just need to somehow repair the boot files. If you just want your files back, you can reinstall windows, but chose NOT TO FORMAT the drive. You will have a working copy of windows which will give you access to your files to save, then do a reinstall from fresh and format the drive properly again.
Yep SSD's have a limited amount of times they can read/write. it sucks but its a sacrifice some are willing to make
Any friggin kind of computer hardware or software can crash you dumb ass, I don't see your point in replying to my post!!! A disk inside is a mechanical arm moving around a magnetic spinning disk! Dumb ass! If you don't know anything about computers and it's hardware, please don't reply to posts!!! Dumb ass!
