WHAT REALLY MAKES YOU KEEP DJING?

As a dj, what are the things that really makes u keep djing ..is it the girls that u get...the money is great...the fame...or just plain old passion that u have for the art?

 

For most of us who has been doing this for a while, the money is not a big deal. I personally get paid more for a day's work with my career. I would kick a chick out of the DJ booth very quickly if she gets in the way of my set lol. So I guess it would have to be the passion for the art.

 

The Vibration of music itself. Its an emotional experience really.

 

The expression on ppl faces when you play tracks that bring back memories or when the tell you they had a great time.

 

I have only DJd a few parties. When I did, the feeling that you get when you look onto the floor and it's you getting those people dancing , laughing, and having a good time. That was a rush for me.

 

Guess some guys like the money and the freedom of being a DJ, get to go to parties all the time and you generally get a good amount of attention.

 

When you get in the 'zone'. You start doing badass live remixes that you've never done before... Your scratching is sooooo on point... You impress the shit out of yourself. That's the moment you feel ONE WITH THE MUSIC. You know what I mean?

 

Definitely passion. You have to love what you do to do it well. With passion comes motivation on getting better each time.

 

For me, it would be my passion for music. Also, I sometimes go and dance on the dance floor when I'm vibing to the music.

 

The vybe and flow of the music. Seeing everyone enjoying their selves

 

Can't lie its all the tech for me. I love the music but the tech definitely keeps me hooked.
