I'm looking for a nice sounding sub for my car. Something that is about 10 or 12 inches but doesn't require a large box. An suggestions?

Infinity Kappa is a great speaker but sometimes the tweeters can be a bit harsh as they are metal. Polk Audio makes some nice components and they have soft dome tweeters so the highs are not as harsh as the infinities.

For Subwoofer I would say that a good box and a "decent" subwoofer would be better than any expensive Brand subwoofer and a regular box...For Me I use JL Audio with JL Audio amp...Bough used, If Brand new I wouldn't of bought it cause its over priced...

Sounds good. I just dropped a lot of some new wheels and tires so maybe mid summer I might look into getting a good sub and box.

Look into the prefabricated subwoofer & enclosure packages some manufacturers sell - they are usually compact and sound good since they are designed to work together.
