The best laptop brand is Apple for me because I am using OSX, but if you are looking for a Windows/Linux based machine then I'll go with Dell. I love the new XPS with its infinity screen :)

Depends on your needs. I'm a gamer and just bought an Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) edition one with Nvidia 760 graphics, 32 GB RAM and a Samsung SSD ... doesn't get any better :)

I have always preferred Dell laptops over the years for their great customer support and for having quite a few different options with their product line as well as the quality of their end products. I have had a few HPs quit on me after a shorter period than the Dells and I have also found their online support (drivers/replacements etc) to be a bit more lacking than that of Dells. Cant quite speak on Apple's laptop/computer offerings besides having used them I have not really owned one. I love the styling and simplicity of their operating systems and I actually perfer their mobile devices (iPhone, iPods, iPads) over most.

I prefer Asus, however Apple also looks very nice but you need to get use to their system.

Every laptop brand is pretty good but it all depends on what you going to use it for
