I heard that sell laptops have a lot of power supply issues, is this true. I want to know other people's opinions on this.
What kind po power supply issues, regarding the adapter or the connector inside the laptop? Personally, Asus laptops are my favorite. Dell I always used to call Hell, however this is because I don't like their laptops (personal taste) and I am not positive about their "service"
The computers vary from models to models. Only certain systems are known for power problems which was either recently recall from MFG or still in process. OP, it is a very broad statement to say exactly which computer is known for them. If you have a particular model or brand you interested in, maybe we can more lead you in the right direction...
I have found Dell products to be of exceptional quality.I used a pc that was donated to the government of Guyana by USAID (this pc was used in the us and used by the government for over 5 years). The pc was dumped by the IT department and I collected it and used it for 2 years until components from the motherboard start falling off. Always unplug your charger by pulling on the tip and not the cord.
There have been a host of Lithium-Ion related issues with all types of batteries being manufactured out there. Dell included - that have had their fair share of issues. Most vendors (IBM, ACER & DELL etc.) all have pro-active programs listed on their support websites for replacement chargers/batteries - in some cases at no cost (depending on age/model and manufacturing issue) trying to help remedy the situation. Try not to give one vendor a bad rap for a manufacturer/supplier issue. The Dell's have been rock solid IMO followed closely by a great support org - which to me is the most important.
I have had a Dell laptop in the past and never had any problems. So in my opinion they are one of the best.
never had a dell but they look like solid computers. just make sure the processor is good and that you're happy with the specs
Dell laptop are garbage when it comes to power jack issues. Dell soldered the power jack to the motherboard instead of using a connector like other manufactures.
I've had nothing but issues with Dell. The company I work for only uses Dell systems, I'm always submitted tickets to their warranty dept for motherboard and power issues.
