I have a denon MC4000 and I want to upgrade to the MC 7000. I was wondering if this is worth it.

The Denon MC7000 is a huge upgrade to the MC4000. I used to own the MC4000 but I got rid of it because the biggest drawback of it was the VU meters on it which were not accurate at all (they only showed the level of the master volume, not the individual channels). With the MC7000, you're getting a full feature controller that has everything you need as a DJ. It comes with Serato DJ (unlike the MC4000 which comes with Serato DJ Intro). The MC7000 has more outputs, a 4 channel stand-alone mixer, better performance pads that are also different colors. In my opinion, it's worth the upgrade but you have to see if it's in your budget because it is quite a price difference. The MC4000 goes for about $400 and the MC7000 goes for $999.99.

The MC4000 is a good entry-level controller if that is what you are looking for. But for a professional controller, the MC7000 would be better. With the MC4000, you are getting a lot for what you pay and I'd recommend it over the popular Pioneer DDJ-SB controllers.
