Every time I put my windows to sleep, I get black screen. Then when i shut off and turn on again, my desktop apps/programs do not show. I don't know what is going on. Please check this pics to see what is going on.

Pic 1 - you see a black screen with smaller size screen

Pic 2 - You see my desktop but no Programs/Apps...Nothing works when you click on it. I have to restart few times to get it working.

Pic 3 - Screen size is small and nothing popping up

I am guessing that you got this fixed already? It seems like a common problem. By googling your question, "Every time I put my windows to sleep, I get black screen" it returned a lot of hits which includes many things to try. Looks like Microsoft broke something on one of their updates. Maybe a future update will fix it? Don't know, but I wouldn't count on it. Good luck.

If you haven't done it already, I would try downloading and installing the latest Dell drivers available for your desktop. The release date shows as July 29, 2021 which is relatively recent in my opinion in terms of driver releases. My guess is that it may be the graphics card causing the issues and perhaps an updated driver would fix the issue. As always backup your data before doing anything and good luck.

So the update is, nothing worked. It came out, the windows was corrupt so had to re-install fresh. $300 spend on retrieving data, fresh install and swaped computer hd for SSD drive. Lost some of my most used programs (adobe audition) so kind of disappointed. Screw Windows with their updates.:cry::cry:

bro if you have the installation cd you won't have all that issue, just do an installment without format the hard disc, then backup on an external disc and then do a full installation then restore from the backup

I did not had the installation CD. When I purchased dell, it did not come with it. They did not include any CDs. Anyways, I got all my programs and everything back. So far its working good. Thanks for the input. :D:D:D
