I have no logged on to this site in a while, but to me it seems as though there is not as much chatter as there used to be when I first joined.

I am just wondering if streaming apps such as soundcloud is killing MP?

Please correct me if I am wrong as I have no insight in to the site stats.

I think streaming is killing the need for people to collect music files to put on their phones and usbs compared to 5-10 years ago, as almost all new songs are released instantly on spotify/apple music, and these days people are just playing soundcloud/mixcloud mixes for long car drives. I personally don't use any streaming app, and for me, MP still provides music and albums that I wouldn't find on them

Not much chatter because most people have moved on when they are satisfied with their music/video collections. Probably busy with their lifestyle as well. :D

Me personally, I'm here for the older songs as that is my childhood. I really miss physical media though.

Remixes & Bootlegs can't exist on streaming services (except for soundcloud/mixcloud) and those DJs gotta get their songs from somewhere. MP has a place, even in the world of streaming.
