Every reggae and dancehall lover seems to have STRONG opinions of the best era in dancehall, what's yours and expound a little on why?

Definitely the early 80's and 90s. Super cat and yellowman were some of the best

The 80's and 90's were the best. Sadly today, everything sounds the same and you can barely tell the difference between dancehall and soca.

Agree with everyone saying the 80s-90s. There was so much hits as some said and the 80s-90s are better than the newer dancehall. (And can’t forget about the early 2000s)

80's reggae and dancehall will always be my era. It was pure, fun and had more positive vibes.

80's 90's undisputedly the best, by mid 2000's started the DECLINE of Dancehall to were it is today. It has changed so much today you can't even call it Dancehall because there's nothing Dancehall about it.

1993-1994 then 1997-1999, these two eras has the most "immortal" dancehall tracks (riddims & singles).
I've been playing music since the 90's and have been researching this for a while now.
