Is it worth buying Serato DJ Pro or stick with Lite

I just started to DJ and was wondering if the Serato DJ Lite is enough for now to make mixes and DJ occasionally at parties? Or should I buy the Pro version? Is the pro version worth it?

 

I’m not a serato user but if you like to record mixes, then get the pro and you’ll have access to new effects and the ability to add expansions (like Pitch N Time/PnT or DVS to use Turntables).

 

If you have Lite then you have an entry level DJ controller. I think as you get better, and invest in a better controller you will get Serato as part of the better controller.

 

Both are good, but if you DJ alot and work on alot of mixes i would suggest Pro

 

if your just doing basic mixes, i guess lite is fine for those purposes, if you plann to be creative with your mixes, the PRO version can really inspire

 

Pro is worth it if u use a dj controller and you like to record your sets live.

 

If you are now getting into DJing is best to stay with Lite in my opinion and the upgrade to Pro..

 

Serato DJ lite is good a enough to start to get a hang of djing, creating your library and doing small gigs.

 

Lite to practice, Pro for parties
