I think TikTok is potentially dangerous with a security breach which could release allot of private information out to the public since you can connect your other social media those could also get breach but I think the chance of this is low and not likely to happen. And also it’s pretty addictive personally What do you think?
I mean almost all apps basically do this, only difference is which country has your data. As for TikTok itself, most people like it and find it addictive because of it's algorithm, similar to other apps, because it will show you stuff that is tailored for you and that you want to see, but me personally I don't see the use for it. If you really want to be private, you should do everything on a computer through VPN, or just don't use social media, it's not as essential as we may think.
Yeah I don't see how TokTok is any different than any of the others (except for the PRC/CCP having direct access to your data, of course). As far as user experience it seems no smarter/dumber than facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. Also TikTok seems to be doing a better job (for now) of banning nazis and racists than twitter & facebook have done, so I give them points for that
TikTok is really addicting. Teenagers mostly sit and post on the app, or sit and watch it for hours when time could be spent doing something better
I have instagram @bird.zilla. I will not be downloading TikTok although its a very popular platform I refuse for my information to be breached.
tik tok will be the downfall of you - especially when they shoving your data into their couuntry owned AI that is hell bent on dominating the world. good luck being incognito in todays world
