well, im thinkin of buying all the separate components and putting it together. prolly a 500gb hard drive (250 vista, 250 mac) , the amd phenom quad core and prolly 4gb ram. what would i be missing out on? im not trying to emulate leopard, im talking about an actual valid install on using the HFS format

you will be emulating leopard osx is made to only run on apple computers.
its not made for any other system.

    why are you going amd?
    intel is far better.
q6600 2.4ghz quads are pretty cheap

im not too sure about the specs on that intel, but im pretty sure as of rite now, that the phenom is the only true quad core with 4 pipelines as opposed to 2 found in most quad cores.

    google : iAtkos or kalyway

as for partitioning, don't know about it, i prefer just buying an imac or just going to the Mac store to see how it is.
