Connecting Cable to My Pc?

    Alright well i wanted to know if there is a way to connect my time warner cable box to my pc? my video card has a coax connection so i was just thinking i split the connection so one goes to my road runner and one goes to the cable box but im pretty sure it wouldnt just show up on the monitor soo just curious if anyone knew how to do this?

    well if you wanna watch tv on your computer then you would need a TV-IN card which some HP computers come built in. Also you would need something like media center or some kind of software to then watch it

    tv tuner, or get a timer warner cable box that supports hdmi output and get a converter to dvi or vga.

    if you have the coax input, you should be able to do it... dont split it from your modem though, on your cable box, on the coax output plugn a coax into a splitter, and one end from the splitter send to your T.V unless your using component cables, and one end to your PC.

    yea u need a tv tuner card for ur pc,and it will come with software to view your cable

    how come he needs a tv tuner card if he has a coax input..?

    i think its my video card that had the coax output i had put in a tv tuner but i thought i took it out maybe not...but "baibaibai" if i just plug it in what would i use to view the channels? dont i need some kind of software?

    alright sooo i got my dell 22 inch ultrasharp screen and my tv tuner is in the pc its the ati tv tuner wonder pro or some shit like that its pretty old and it doesnt pick up the cable box...and the spare box i have isnt hdmi o.0 so what would the solution be?

    it does work but i dont think it was meant for connecting the cable box itself
