oh rass when i heard "workey workey"! lmao jones and bce u guys got competition =P shitty ass transition from rum in de morning to rum is meh lover though.
loll yea last transition was gay but he did some nice shitt im not gonna lie no headphones dats nice lol turning backwards and scratching i just think he did that for show off edit i wish we could hear what the judges say
hes damn good. but holy shit that transition at the end was a choke and then some. he tried to autoloop the part and the cdj tempo was off apparently so he got nervous and cut it and it wasnt cued right that shit sounded badd loll but if it were me though id still bring the same song in anyways just flows well. that set is pre made its all pre made selection before hand well i guess thats a battle for you. his chirps and scratching is real good but i would love to see him on some 1200's where the needle skipping and getting dirty is a factor in scratching and mixing. his juggling is pretty bad for someone who can scratch and cut like that weird could be the cd delay with serato not jumping back to cue points . reguadless though that was a great mix im damn impressed.
he's good but i think that cockiness gettin in his way but whatever, he's nice with his scratches, and OK with his transitions
Wow this young man got skills, great work. I would of like to here he trow in a couple of indian chunes there see what he can do with that but never the less. Keep rocking youth man.
This guy is a good radio DJ. The transition to "This is how we do" was very clean but brought in "Dude - Beenie Man" very nasty. The transition to "Headsprung - LL Cool J" was very hype but needed to sped up by at least 2bpm to give it more hype. The "Vitamin S" concept was alright but he brought it in wrong. I loved the break he did at the end of "Vitamin S" and brought in "Macarena". He absolutely killed it when he brought in "Hot Stepper", I don't know why he cut it off so early. The "Hot Gal" intro was alright and the transition to "Stookie" was wicked! Also, the transition to "Workey Workey" was good and the damn scratching over the SOCA song was original! Then this man went and brought in "Pump Me Up" which was also hype. The last two chutney songs, he ****ed up. This guy could be a wicked Radio Club/Urban club DJ. His transitions are up and down at times but he got the scratching on lock. Imagine this kid spinning without a time limit.
i agree with salim but this mix he did seems pre set like he know what he was going to play before hand. compared to pulling shit out the hat
yeah but surely everyone else in this competition would be practicing before they were actually judged?
yeaahhh of cource but if u practice a set or routine should really be natural so errors in terms of you actually mixing your own set would be a ****ing joke that means you didnt get it down. or just choked now live performance errors is another thing. long story short if he was djing live straight up it wouldnt be that fantastic. guys like dj am jazzy jeff tiesto all these big names run session and preselected sets. where ever they go they run the same shit not to say there bad djs hell no they perfected and are the best of there kind but really its not off the top of the head. which trust me is much harder to pull off when you have 1 minute left on 1 song and ur still looking for ur next track while still having to cue up pitch to mix it in.
ohhhhh yeh i get what u mean now. ma bad. im toooo tired lol. but i think whether or not it was practiced, that rum in de morning to rum is meh lova was really bad.
