Itataion and black Unity never heard off but I think we are talking about two different thing, what i am saying is the jamaican djs/ sound systems can't blend for shit, they use the talking to cross over from songs to songs and if you like that , that fine I use to be into that style of music but it not my thing anymore. The bag a long talking days are over. Hell trigg you can mix better than them so that all I am saying. The taking ting disguise poor mixing ability .

STONELOVE @ I witness Addies Hi Fi pack dem up in Brooklyn already and for you guys who nah familar with Addies , Baby Face and one chap called Tony Matterron , well that was before he start dj ing

Mighty Crown@ good mixer no good selector ( maybe the fact they chinese they might not be familar with chunees
Massive B , bobby konders now that a white chap that wicked no hell, forget about Jabba and all the screaming he does do.

I like Vertex Sound; Rain A Fall is my favorite mix tape at the moment.

i like both styles. but to me? the talking during cross overs and cut mixing are more hype than simple blending. but if you want to hear proper blending, don't speak in general of all jamaican dj's cause people like Selecta Renegade, Soul Controllers, Jus Bus, Walshy Killa (from black chiney) can put on a show! yes i've heard every one of these artist perform to state this fact.

  9. its not about how they cross over or anything. its about the tunes they use. clash sound systems talk all they want and drop clash and gun tune like nuttin else. if you get some fob ass person just blending tracks and not even talk or nothing.. he aint gonna get no forward.

I can go to a clash and drop burial tune after burial tune in all of my sets. If I don't say shit on the mic then the people wont rate you.

Like I said before.. keep the nice calm blends and all that for the coolie parties. When you ready to KILL, bring the hard shit out.

I like DJ Dee-Reggae Hits, The Reggae Box by Audio Impact and Riddim Slaughteration by DJ Trigonometry. There's a few others can't recall the names right now.

Just thought I'd add my two cents to this old thread; the person who started this thread didn't ask who would kill anyone in a battle or anything, btw I knew matterhorn when he use to dj, my homegirl and him went to school together, so I use to go to parties where he dj'd. Neways back on topic, the best reggae mixtape, and best mixtape ever is FPM's 5001. AND that was way back early, VERY EARLY in the 90's. I still hold it against any mixtape you bring today.
