I Tried The TroubleShotting Provided By AppLe, But Its Of No Use. It Says I Should Put It In Disk Mode, And I Tried Putting It That Mode, But Thats Not Working. It Is Not Setting The Ipod Into Disk Mode. Can Someone Help Me Out Here?

No I Don't. It's Just Stuck On That Error Screen X Message. I Tried To Manually Reset It By Pressing Select And Menu, The Apple Logo Does Come Up, But It Sends Me Back To That Message. I Tried Connecting It To The Computer, But It Doesn't Not Detect It.

u did exactly what apple said to do ?

#1 Before placing the iPod into disk mode, you should verify that it is charged.
    # 2 Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
    # 3 Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
    # 4 When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
    5. Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect"

If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.

If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.

i found this.... "Some times when you drop your ipod the lens inside skips. (kinda like a record player) reset your ipod by holding the middle and menu button until you hear clicking. then with one hand hold the ipod firmly and hit the side of it onto the PALM of your other hand. Sometimes this jumps the needle back into place but not all the time."

or hit the side of the ipod on the ground (carpet of course) about two or three times. if succesful it will make a funny noise and then turned """""
